Environmental impact
We strive to reduce the environmental impact of our business. We source as high a percentage of our ingredients as possible locally in order to reduce ‘dog food miles’. It is mad to be importing meat or vegetables from overseas when they can be bought within a few miles of our kitchens. We are committed to buying and promoting organic meat, bone and vegetables, although we also offer a farm assured version of our food. Where possible we buy packaging made from recycled materials. We monitor and aim to minimise our use of energy. We monitor and aim to minimise our waste.
Animal welfare
We are concerned about the welfare of the animals we use to make our dog food. For this reason we only source meat from farmers we know and trust. All our meat is free-range with the exception of the game, which is wild.
Our canine customers come first
Our canine customers come first. We are committed to promoting canine health through a proper raw, fresh food diet. We believe that the optimum diet for the overwhelming majority of dogs is raw meat, raw bones and raw vegetables.
Charitable work
We believe it is important to play an active role in the community. We try to help any local or canine charity that approaches us and we also support the World Land Trust.
Financial goals
Sorry, it sounds rather gushy, but it is the truth: we really, really love our business. We put our canine customers and people before profits. Our core financial aims are to a) offer customers excellent value for money, b) treat employees kindly and generously, c) donate money to charitable causes including the World Land Trust and not-for-profit canine organisations and d) make a comfortable living!

We use locally sourced, organic ingredients. Our ingredients are as good as you would find in a swanky restaurant.
We supply our food fresh. We aim to get it from field to Fido (or Fifi) in under four days.
We deal direct with our customers. We pass on the saving, which is why you can feed a small dog on Honey’s for as little as 99p a day and a large dog for as little as £2.50 a day.
We give dogs what they thrive on. Raw food. It’s what they ate until the dog food industry persuaded owners to buy processed, cooked and/or dried food.
Honey’s Real Dog Food contains no preservatives, additives or chemicals. It is not treated in any way. It is the food nature really intended for your dog.
