Lean Beef & Tripe

In order to ensure that the recipes are consistently lean we use exactly the same selected cuts of meat. That means cuts without fat and without skin and no ‘rich’ meat. We make all our recipes by hand and in small batches. As a result, each batch may vary in terms of colour and consistency.

Our Lean Pasture Fed Tripe/Ox Heart/Beef Flank with bone and vegetables formula contains approximately two-thirds raw, pasture fed beef and one-third fresh, seasonal vegetables.  The vegetables are grown locally for Honey’s.

Our food is made using the freshest possible ingredients that would, if they weren’t becoming dog food, be completely suitable for human consumption. This is really important not just for ethical reasons, but also because high quality ingredients contain much higher nutritional values.

All our ingredients come from British farms and are, therefore, seasonal.

Our Pasture Fed complete Lean Beef and Tripe with Seasonal Vegetables recipe is a perfect combination of low fat and high-quality protein.

The tripe is low in fat, rich in protein, and a good source of zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, phosphorus, magnesium and Vitamin B12.

The ox heart is rich in folate, iron, zinc, and selenium and a fantastic source of vitamins B2, B6, and B12. B vitamins, by the way, have a cardioprotective effect, meaning they help protect against heart disease.

The beef flank is low in fat and a good source of zinc, phosphorus, selenium and Vitamin B12 and B6.

Beef bone provides the all-important minerals, including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, selenium and zinc, and the bone marrow supplies vitamin A, B2, B12 and E, as well as essential Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The connective tissue provides glucosamine and chondroitin, which help support joint health.

The seasonal veg provide insoluble fibre for a healthy digestive tract and some vitamin content.

Our Pasture Fed Beef is from cattle that have been raised in the traditional way by English, Scottish and Welsh farmers. The tripe is gently washed in water so that it is suitable for human consumption.

Our food meets all the most vigorous nutritional guidelines as set out by the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF), the Pet Food Manufacturers Association (PFMA) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). We achieve this without adding any supplements. We believe that healthy dogs should get all their nutrition from their food.

Lean Pasture Fed Beef with Washed Tripe (complete dog food)

Composition: Minced washed beef tripe, beef heart, flank and finely minced bone (67% Beef).  Minced carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, parsnip and other seasonal vegetables (33%)   Analytical constituents:  Moisture 77.5%, Protein 12.0%, Crude Fat 7.2%, Crude Ash 1.4%, Crude Fibre: 0.7%.
