Why what you feed your puppy is so important
The correct food will ensure that your puppy leads a longer, healthier life.
This is because a puppy’s stomach lining is considerably more permeable than an adult dog’s.
In plain English: puppies absorb a much greater percentage of everything they eat.
So, if what they eat is made from the highest possible quality of ingredients they will receive the maximum health benefits.
Whereas, if what they eat is full of poor quality ingredients, additives and chemicals (in other words, ultra processed kibble and wet food) then they are at greater risk of disease and illness.

Five tasty recipes
We have developed five super-tasty recipes for puppies as part of our working dog food range:
Each recipe contains fresh, high quality/high welfare meat, chemical-free vegetables and finely ground bone meal (so finely ground you wouldn’t know it was there… by the way, dogs can receive a third of their nutrition from bone), as well as a vegan omega 3 supplement.
Please note we visit all our farmers and producers… we don’t believe there is a dog food producer in the world using such high quality, high welfare meat.
5 reasons why your puppy will thrive on Honey’s
A good diet is the cornerstone of good health
In 2003, researchers Lippert and Sapy, writing for the Prince Laurent Foundation (a non-profit organisation for animal welfare) followed 522 dogs over five years and set out to identify the factors that most determined lifespan. They examined breed, size, sex, housing conditions, sterilisation status and, crucially, diet.
Their conclusion was unambiguous: diet was the single most powerful external factor in determining how long a dog lives. Dogs fed a homemade, fresh food diet reached an average age of 13.1 years. Those fed on industrially processed commercial food died at an average age of 10.4 years. That is a difference of nearly three years… 32 months of additional life, simply from the quality of food in the bowl.
The benefits of omega 3
We only add one supplement to our puppy food: omega 3. Why? Omega-3 is a family of different ‘good’ fatty acids including ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). These acids are particularly helpful to brain, eye, skin and coat development and immune modulation. In a nutshell, they give your puppy an extra health boost.
