In line with legal requirements we are registered and approved by DEFRA. Our registration Approval Number 45/112/8002/ABP/PTF. We are Certified Organic by OF&G. We have obtained ISO140001 environmental accreditation.

Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are – and this won’t surprise you – our terms and conditions. There isn’t really much to say about them except that we have bullied our solicitors into writing them in something approximating plain-English and we have avoided sneaky little small print.

Scope

These terms and conditions are effective from 1 May 2020 until further notice. These terms and conditions apply to (a) any orders made using our website, (b) any orders made in writing and (c) any orders made verbally. In fact, they apply to all orders.

Blanket get-out clause relating to the information on this site

There is information about dog treats, dog health and other dog-related subjects on this website. Our solicitor insisted that we make a number of points clear with regard to this information.

Cancellation

Any order can be cancelled at any time up until 1.00pm prior to the day of dispatch. All you have to do is email or phone, quoting your order reference number and we’ll refund any monies paid in advance PDQ (which stands for Pretty Damn Quick).

Delivery

The Darling Experiment Limited will process your order promptly and will deliver it as soon as we reasonably can.

In the unlikely event that any of the products are not in stock, delivery may be delayed. We will keep you informed via email (or telephone if you have not supplied an email address) of the progress of your order and offer you a partial shipment.

We deliver throughout the UK with a few small exceptions (such as some of the more remote islands). Please contact us direct if you feel you live in such an area.

Returns policy

In order to ensure that we maintain our reputation for quality, service and integrity we guarantee that your food will arrive in first-class condition on the promised date. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of our food simply follow the instructions in the delivery package and we will refund the cost in full and without argument. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Jurisdiction

Our business is located in England and governed by English law, and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts will apply.

The trademarks, logos, and service marks (collectively, the “trademarks”) displayed on this website are registered and unregistered trademarks of The Darling Experiment Limited, Three Things Holdings Limited and others. If you want to set up an account with us the steps are as follows:

• You apply to be a website user (for which we are very grateful).
• You will receive your authorised account number and appropriate delivery day.
• You place the order for your products on the website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process.
• We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from us.

Order acceptance and the creation of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the products ordered.

If we can’t or don’t accept your order, we will notify you although we aren’t obliged to. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from our website whether that product has been sold or not; removing or editing any materials or content on the website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

If you set up a standing order with us, we may terminate it at our discretion without notice. If we do so you will only be charged for orders that have been dispatched to you.

Payment can be made by any of the methods specified in the payment section of this website and payment will be debited and cleared from your account as set out in the payment section of this website. You confirm that the credit, debit or store card that is being used is yours.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
