The Honey's Privacy Policy

Your privacy is in safe paws

Perhaps the first thing to say is that (a) we take your privacy very seriously, (b) it is not our style to try and sell anything to anyone and (c) we are sorry that this section of the website is so long but there is a lot of information to cover.

What follows explains exactly how we are committed to protecting your personal information. It also explains how we use information you give to us.

Perhaps the single most important point is that by using our website you agree to the collection, use and transfer of the information you provide to us in line with the terms of The Darling Experiment Limited’s Privacy Policy, which we set out below.

Types of information

When you use our website the information we receive from you falls into two categories:

  • Personal information that you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, details about your dog and so forth.
  • Anonymous information, such as which pages of our website you visit or which part of the world you are located in. This information is gathered using something called ‘cookies’ (see below).

What we don’t ever collect or store is your financial information, such as your credit/debit card details. If you purchase from us all the payment information is handled separately by our payment partners. Our main payment processing partner is Total Web Solutions. They are fully PCI DSS Level 1 compliant and secure their systems to the highest standard.

Why we collect information

The Darling Experiment Limited collects personal information from you for four reasons:

  • To advise you on the best food for your dog or some other aspect of your dog’s health, welfare and wellbeing.
  • To process and deliver your order(s) as well as to deal with any queries or complaints relating to your order(s).
  • To provide you with a genuinely personal service. For example, if you are a new customer we will contact you a few days after your first order to see how your dog is getting on. Or, to offer another example, we may would usually remind you when we think you need to order again.
  • To keep you up to date with our news, product information, special offers and so forth where you are a customer or have given permission.

Please note: it is not our style to bother our customers or to ever try and sell them anything. We know how annoying it is to be bombarded with emails and other marketing communications.

We won’t share

The Darling Experiment Limited will not share your information with any third parties for marketing purposes, nor any other reasons unless we are required to do so by law. Where any third party processors have access to your data on our behalf (for example, our couriers, so that they can deliver your food) these comply with GDPR legislation. Unless otherwise stated we will keep your data secure for six years after your final transaction with us.

Keeping us up to date

The Darling Experiment Limited will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up-to-date. If your personal details change, you can inform us by sending an email to info@darlingsrealdogfood.com. You may request a copy of the personal details we hold on you by emailing or writing to us. Other than where we have a legal obligation to retain it, you may also exercise your right to have your data deleted by emailing or writing to us at the info@darlingsrealdogfood.com.

If you have any concerns about how we are processing your data, you can email us at info@darlingsrealdogfood.com and we will respond to your complaint. If your concern is still not resolved, you have the right to report a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
