Indeed, most dogs simply can’t get enough of it. Literally, actually, as Britain’s wild rabbit stocks are falling. As a result of this, and the fact that we are very fussy about who we buy our wild rabbit from (trustworthy gamekeepers who are mindful of sustainability), we often don’t always have it in stock, for which we apologise.
When we do, however, it makes a wonderful and nutritious meal.
About
We make all our recipes by hand and in small batches using different cuts of meat each time. This helps to ensure greater variety. As a result, each batch may vary in terms of colour and consistency.
Our Working Dog Food Wild Rabbit formula with vegetables contains 40% raw, wild rabbit (including bone and heart), 27% pasture fed lamb with the balance (about a third) being fresh, seasonal vegetables. The vegetables are grown locally for Honey’s.
Our vegetable-free formula is 55% wild rabbit (including bone), 30% lamb (including bone), with the balance lamb heart & liver.
Our food is made using the freshest possible ingredients that would, if they weren’t becoming dog food, be completely suitable for human consumption. This is really important not just for ethical reasons, but also because high quality ingredients contain much higher nutritional values.
Our meat is all certified organic, free range or (for this recipe) wild.
Our food meets all the most vigorous nutritional guidelines as set out by the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF), the Pet Food Manufacturers Association (PFMA) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). We achieve this without adding any supplements.

Out of Season Wild Rabbit (complete pet food for dogs). Composition: Minced whole wild rabbit including finely minced bone (40%). Lamb breast including finely minced bone and heart (27%). Minced carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, parsnip and other seasonal veg (33%). May contain shot. Analytical constituents. Moisture: 75.3%; Protein: 22.6%; Crude Fat: 4.1%; Crude Ash: 3.1%; Crude Fibre: 0.9%
Vegetable Free – Wild Rabbit (complete pet food for dogs). Composition: Whole wild rabbit including finely minced bone (60%), lamb breast including finely minced bone and lamb heart (35%), lamb liver (5%). May contain shot. Analytical constituents. Moisture: 66.4%; Protein: 18.4%; Crude Fat: 11.8%; Crude Ash: 3%; Crude Fibre: 1.7%
